Two New Candidates Named in Federal Election
Two more candidates have been announced for the upcoming federal election.
Former-Deputy Grand Chief of the Innu Nation, Peter Penashue, will run for the Conservative Party.
The current Principal of the Jens Haven Memorial School in Nain, Jacob Larkin, will run as a candidate for the NDP.
Larkin has been the Principal of Jens Haven Memorial for the past five years.
He is currently serving his second term as a councilor for the Nain Inuit Community Government.
Larkin and Penashue will be campaigning alongside the incumbent MP, Todd Russell.
No other candidates have been announced as of yet.
The close of nominations is April 11.
The confirmed list of candidates will be announced on April 13.
Canadians head to the polls on May 2.
