Federal Election Taking Place Today
Federal Election day is upon us.
Labradorians will join the rest of Canada to cast their vote at the polling stations today.
Labradorians have four choices on the ballot.
Jacob Larkin is the candidate for the NDP Party.
George C R Barrett is the Green Party’s candidate.
Peter Penashue is the candidate for the Conservative Party.
All are running against incumbent MP, Todd Russell, the Liberal candidate.
Labradorians can head to their local polling station to cast their vote.
The polling station in Hopedale is located at the Hopedale Inuit Community Government office.
Residents of Nain can head to the Community Hall.
Postville residents can cast their vote at the Recreation Centre.
The polling station is located at the Council Chambers in Rigolet.
Residents of North West River can head to the Community Centre to cast their vote.
There are three polling stations in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Voters can head to the Masonic Lodge, Royal Canadian Legion or the Community Centre on the base.
The polling stations close at 8 p.m.
