Interpreter/Translator Workshop a Success

The Interpreter/Translator Workshop that was held in Nain this week is being considered a huge success.

The workshop brought together Interpreter/Translators from throughout Nunatsiavut and the Upper Lake Melville.

The Torngasok Cultural Centre hosted the workshop.

Toni White is the centre’s Language Program Coordinator.

She says the attendees spent three days learning various Inuktitut terms in areas such as politics, the environment, and finances.

The Interpreter/Translators seemed to get a lot out of the three-day learning session.

She says the center hopes to host similar workshops following the success of this one.
