Moravian Churches Receiving Special Guests Over Easter Holidays
The Moravian Churches in Labrador will have some assistance in celebrating this year’s Holy Week and Easter holidays.
Tom Gordon, a Professor from the School of Music at the Memorial University, will be joined by some of his students to help the choirs recognize the special occasion.
The students will be joining the choirs and adding their instruments to the celebrations.
One of the highlights of their visit will be on Tuesday evening.
The group is inviting the community of Nain to join them in a special concert and sing-along.
The group will also be visiting the communities of Hopedale, Makkovik and Happy Valley-Goose bay during the holidays.
Documentary filmmaker, Nigel Markham, will also join the group to document their activities.
Markham is well-known for his film “The Last Days of OKak.”
Stay tuned to AtjiKangitut to hear when the group will be visiting your community.
