Nain Clinic Improving Emergency Services

Improvements are being made to the Nain Clinic’s emergency services.

Donnie Sampson is the Regional Director of Community Clinics with Labrador-Grenfell Health.

She says emergency services during the clinic’s after hours will see a change in a couple of weeks.

The change is an attempt to fine-tune the current emergency services offered by the clinic in Nain.

Sampson says the community will now be given an option when they call the clinic’s telephone line after hours.

Direction will be given to the caller if they require emergency services.

The clinic receives over 500 calls a month and many of those aren’t emergency situations.

They hope this new method will benefit those who actually require emergency services.

Stay tuned to OK Radio to hear Sampson and the Nain Clinic’s Head Nurse, Pat Crotty, discuss the new service.
