Unfortunate Circumstances Cut Nain Man’s Walk to George River Short

Some unfortunate circumstances have cut a Nain man’s walking expedition to George River short.

Noah Nochasak returned to Nain last Sunday.

He left Nain on foot for George River, Quebec, on April 1.

A group of Nain residents were called upon on Saturday to assist the young man back to his community.

He arrived safe and sound in Nain shortly before supper last Sunday.

Nochasak ran into a number of problems during his trip.

His tent was torn apart by strong winds, his Coleman stove was broken and he wasn’t able to use his Kullik on higher land.

Nochasak says he would like to thank everybody for their support and concern.
