Canadian Union of Postal Workers Puts in Strike Notice

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers presented a final offer to Canada Post today.

A counteroffer presented by Canada Post last week was rejected by the union.

The union has also put in its 72-hour strike notice.

The union will be in a legal position to strike if an agreement isn’t reached by this Thursday at 11:59 p.m.

The union stated in a press release today that they are willing to negotiate right up until the deadline to avoid a strike.

A disruption in service will be averted if a settlement is reached before the strike deadline.
