High Winds and Snow Expected for North Coast

High winds, a lot of rain and even snow are being forecasted as Hurricane Maria makes its way to Labrador.

Herb Thoms is a Meteorologist with Environment Canada in Gander.

He says Hurricane Maria will be mixing with a low pressure system over Labrador causing some harsh weather conditions.

Winds are expected to gust up to 110 km an hour overnight.

60 to 95 mm of rain is forecasted to fall on the north coast by Saturday morning.

That rain is expected to turn to wet snow and may even accumulate in the Postville area.
