James Woodrow Charges Dismissed
The charges against James Woodrow have been dismissed.
Judge John Joy announced his decision during the provincial court circuit in Nain Thursday afternoon.
Judge Joy did not provide the reasoning behind his decision.
A written decision will be submitted to the court on July 29.
Woodrow was facing one assault charge and one charge of forcible confinement.
The charges stemmed from an incident involving a Nain woman, Audrey Nochasak, in May, 2009.
Woodrow was stationed in the community with the RCMP at the time.
