MV Dutch Runner to Make First Trip to North Coast Ports

Some Nunatsiavut communities will be receiving an unfamiliar visitor over the weekend.

The MV Dutch Runner will be making its first trip ever to ports on the North coast.

The freight vessel replaces the MV Astron.

It is newer and has a greater freight capacity than its predecessor.

The Dutch Runner will depart Lewsiporte Friday for ports in Rigolet, Makkovik and Postville.

The vessel will make its way to ports further up the coast once ice conditions allow.
