National President of CPAA Discusses Strike at Canada Post
The strike action being taken by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers has been all over the media lately.
A lot of people in this region have been wondering if the employees at the Canada Post offices in Nunatsiavut may be going on strike.
The answer is no.
The Canada Post employees in the Nunatsiavut offices are a part of the Canadian Postmasters and Assistants Association union.
Leslie Schous is the National President of the CPAA.
She says they represent postal workers who work in rural areas.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers represents the employees in urban centres who have been rotating strikes in different Canadian cities.
Schous does say the strike action being taken by members of the CUPW could have an effect on our postal services.
