Numbers Way Up for Votes Cast in Advanced Polls

The number of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who took part in this election’s advanced polls has more than doubled from the last provincial election.

Over 15,000 people in this province cast their vote in the advance polls on Tuesday.

That’s more than double the approximately 7,500 votes that were cast during advanced polls in the 2007 provincial election.

29 eligible voters took advantage of the advance polls in the Torngat Mountains district.

The remainder of the votes will be cast on Election Day, October 11.
