Nunatsiavut Government Pleased with Lower Churchill Recommendations
The Nunatsiavut Government is pleased with the recommendations put forth in the Lower Churchill environmental assessment report.
The report was released by the provincial and federal governments last week.
It contains over 80 recommendations, many of which relate to Labrador Inuit.
Nunatsiavut Minister of Lands Natural Resources, Glen Sheppard, stated in a press release that he’s pleased the review panel realized the impacts the development would have on Labrador Inuit.
Representatives of the Nunatsiavut Government were actively involved in the environmental review process.
