One of the Cartwright Drowning Victims Originally from Hopedale
A man who was originally from the community of Hopedale was one of the two fishermen found dead in the water near Cartwright.
RCMP released the names of the victims.
43-year-old Larry Rose was originally from Hopedale.
He was one of the two men found floating in the harbour in Cartwright last weekend.
The other man has been identified as 21-year old Anthony Kevin Tucker of West St. Modeste on Labrador’s South coast.
Both were part of a fishing crew that had been offloading its catch in the community.
RCMP say the deaths appear to be accidental.
One theory is that the two men fell overboard while trying to board their fishing vessel.
