Premier Dunderdale Visiting Labrador Communities

Premier Dunderdale paid a visit to the community of Nain on Wednesday morning.

She arrived there from the Torngat Mountains Base Camp where the Premier attended the repatriation ceremony for the remains of Labrador Inuit.

Some fragmentary remains were taken from Rose Island and Upernavik Island by the Memorial University in the 1970’s.

Nain is just one of many stops in Labrador for the Premier over the next few days.

She’s also scheduled to visit all communities along the north coast today and tomorrow.

OKalaKatiget Radio caught up with Premier Dunderdale when she met with Nain residents at the community hall Wednesday morning.

Stay tuned to AtjiKangitut to hear our conversation with Dunderdale in which she touches on Tuesday’s repatriation ceremony and this fall’s provincial election.
