Provincial Court Circuit Scheduled to Arrive in Nain
The Provincial Court Circuit is attempting to make it into Nain again Tuesday.
Sessions were scheduled to begin yesterday.
Weather conditions caused them to delay the court circuit.
Among the cases to be heard is that of James Woodrow.
Woodrow is set for sentencing this week.
He is facing one charge of assault and one charge of forcible confinement.
The charges stem from an incident involving a Nain woman, Audrey Nochasak, in May, 2009.
Woodrow was stationed in Nain with the RCMP at the time.
Judge John Joy is set to deliver the sentence.
Around 30 other cases are scheduled to be heard during the circuit.
Sessions are scheduled to run until Friday.
