Rigolet Holds Final Polar Bear License

Only one license remains for the 2011 polar bear hunt.

James Goudie is the Wildlife Manager for the Nunatsiavut Government.

He says the polar bear that wandered into Hopedale and was killed this week has been taken out of the 2011 quota.

Only one license now remains.

That license is available to a Rigolet beneficiary.

2011’s polar bear hunt is already the best on record for Nunatsiavut.

This year’s season ends on June 30.
