Take Back the Night Events

The annual ‘Take Back the Night’ march will take place this evening in Nain.

‘Take Back the Night’ is a chance for women to reclaim the right to be free of violence and show that they can walk without fear, particularly at night.

It is also used to raise awareness on safety issues for women and children.

The walk will begin at 6pm and finish off with a community BBQ at the Department of Health and Social Development office.

We also spoke with Sherry Jacque who is the Community Health worker in Postville.

She says the take back the night march will be held on September 29th from 8pm at the DSHD building followed by snacks.

Come and support a great cause.
