Hearings on Draft Land Use Plan Continue (Audio to be added later)

The Regional Planning Authority for the Labrador Inuit Settlement Area has been conducting hearings in Nunatsiavut communities on the draft Land Use Plan for the Labrador Inuit Settlement Area throughout this week.

Thursday is the day they are hearing from Nain residents and stakeholders.

The Commissioner for the Regional Land Use Plan, Bob Warren, dropped by our studio Thursday morning.

He says they will be meeting with residents and stakeholders in Nain Thursday afternoon and evening.

The authority will be accepting input on the draft plan from those in attendance.

Warren says the plan will guide development and the use of land, water, and resources within LISA.

Stay tuned to AtjiKangitut to hear Warren discuss why it’s so important for people to come out and share their thoughts on the draft Land Use Plan.
