Organizers Gearing Up for Labrador Creative Arts Festival

Organizers are gearing up for next month’s Labrador Creative Arts Festival.

Fiona Andersen is the festival’s Coordinator.

She says this is the 36th year for Canada’s longest-running children’s festival.

The event will bring together student performers from all over Labrador in Happy Valley-Goose Bay in November.

17 artists and musicians will also join the participants.

Andersen says their holding a couple of contests between now and the festival.

They’re looking for submissions from students for their button design and writing contests.

The winning submission from the button design contest will be displayed on the festival’s official button.

The deadline for submissions this Thursday.
