Conservative Candidate Peter Penashue Discusses His Campaign
Canadians head to the polls in two weeks to cast their vote in the federal election.
Labradorians have four choices on May 2.
Peter Penashue, who is running on behalf of the Conservative Party, wants your vote.
Penashue served as President and Deputy Grand Chief of the Innu Nation for a combined 15 years.
He says he was highly-involved in raising the funds to relocate the former community of Davis Inlet to Natuashish.
Penashue was also involved in creating the Impacts and Benefits Agreement between the Innu Nation and Voisey’s Bay.
He says some of the issues he is addressing during his campaign include the costs of food, heat and energy on the North coast of Labrador.
Another issue Penashue is addressing is the airport in Nain.
Penashue believes we need a better facility to be able to accommodate the current and future needs of the community.
Stay tuned to AtjiKangitut to hear the Conservative candidate discuss his campaign in detail.
