Northern Ranger to Begin Operating Next Week
The MV Northern Ranger will be visiting Labrador ports next week for the first time since coming under new management.
The vessel is scheduled to depart Lewisporte on June 1.
She will be visiting the communities of Black Tickle, Cartwright, Rigolet and Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Freight will be accepted for Rigolet and Black Tickle on May 30.
The MV Northern Ranger will visit ports along the North Coast once the ice conditions allow.
The case is the same with the MV Dutch Runner.
This is the first year the vessel will be used for freight delivery to ports on the North Coast.
The vessel replaces the MV Astron.
The MV Dutch Runner is a newer vessel with greater freight capacity.
